1956: Lohengrin Filipello

Lohengrin Filipello (c. 1918-December 29, 1993) was a Swiss television presenter.
In 1956 Filipello had the honour of hosting the First Eurovision Song Contest staged in Lugano, Switzerland, as noted in The Eurovision Song Contest — The Official History by author and historian John Kennedy O'Connor, Filipello was the first and only male presenter to host the compition by himself until Léon Zitrone was co-presenter in the 1978 Edition. Filipello was still involved with Eurovision, he provided Swiss commentary for the French Speaking region from 1957 and again from 1964 until 1970. He was also the jury spokesperson for Switzerland in various years.
Filipellio died in 1993.
